Welcome to Rochester Public Library

Public Library for Rochester, Wisconsin

To teach is to touch a life forever”

It is with sadness that we (co-workers, former students, and friends) say goodbye to Cheryl Fladwood, our very own “Mother Goose”.  For many years Cheryl was the Rochester children’s librarian.  She ran our preschool programs, summer programs and countless story hours for the kids of Rochester and surrounding communities.  Cheryl was a force to be reckoned with and was beyond dedicated to the early development of each child she met.  She was our very own “Mother Goose”.  We done Mrs. Fladwood!

The Rochester Public Library aspires to be the welcoming heart of the community where all come to learn, connect, and create. We promote the development of literate and informed patrons of all ages and backgrounds by providing ready, free, and equitable access to library materials, programs, and services. We believe it is essential that every child experiences the pleasure of reading, and that all patrons experience the joy of lifelong learning and all of the advantages that follow.
