Calling All Kids!

All kids are  invited to participate in Rochester’s Memorial Day Parade. The parade is a proud tradition of the Rochester Community and this year we celebrate its 150th Anniversary!

We Want You!

March with us in the parade on May 30th.
(You may ride on the float, or decorate your stroller, wagon or bicycle!)
Date and time to help build the float will be updated on this page.
To march in the parade ~ please be at the Rochester Fire Station no later then 1:00 on May 30th.

Welcome to Gale Courses!

Gale Courses offers a wide range of highly interactive, instructor led courses that you can take entirely online.   As a library card holder in good standing, you are entitled to these courses at no cost. Courses run for six weeks and new sessions begin every month.  Our instructor-facilitated, online continuous education courses are informative, fun, convenient, and highly interactive.  And, our instructors are skilled at creating an inviting and supportive learning environment.

Courses run for six weeks (with a 10-day extension period available at the end).  Courses are project-oriented and include lessons, quizzes, hands-on assignments, discussion areas, supplementary links and more.

You can complete any course entirely from your home or office.  Any time of the day or night!

Childrens Story Time

OUR SPRING SCHEDULE

Parents & Caregivers ~ Don't forget our fabulous playroom is open for play after story time programs.  We have many activities for children to exercise their bodies and their imagination.

Preschool Story Time  10:30 – 11:15 am
Join us for a program designed for kids ages 3 - 5.  Choose Monday or Tuesday morning for stories, songs, activities, finger plays and a craft project with a different theme each week.

Tiny Tots Lapsit Story Time - 10:30 - 10:50 am

This is a program for children age birth to 3 and their parent or caregiver 

that includes stories, music, movement and open playtime.

Wednesdays:

Lapsit Story Time will be held every Wednesday.

ABC Afternoons

ABC Afternoons is an early literacy and kindergarten readiness program for 4 and 5 year old children.  This program includes stories and activities relating to a different letter of the alphabet each week.  Class size is limited and registration is required.  This program is held on Tuesday afternoons from 1:15 to 2:15 pm during the school year.
