Happy Thanksgiving!

The Library Board, Director and Staff wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!  We are so thankful for our patrons, friends and neighbors who make our work here at the Rochester Public Library so enjoyable.  Have a safe and happy holiday and please note our closing schedule ~

Closing early, at 5:00 pm on Wednesday,  November 26 and closed both Thursday and Friday, November 27th and 28th.  Regular hours on Saturday, 9:30 -3:00 pm and Sunday 1:00 - 4:00 pm

Friends of the Rochester Library Christmas Cookie Sale
It's not too early to start thinking about the Annual Christmas Cookie Sale.  This is a major fund raiser for the library and the proceeds help supplement the purchase of children's material and programming.  Please participate by either offering to bake cookies to be sold, by placing an order to buy cookies or BOTH!
Cookies will be sold in 1 pound packs for $8.00 @
Orders can be place in person at the Rochester Public Library or by calling 534-3533
Orders must be placed by Sunday, December 6 and cookie pickup will be Saturday December 13th
Please call the library at 534-3533 to sign up to bake! 


Childrens Story Time
Preschool Story Time  10:30 – 11:15 am

Join us for a program designed for kids ages 3 - 5.  Choose Monday or Tuesday morning for stories, songs, activities, finger plays and a craft project with a different theme each week.

ABC Afternoon

Join Mrs. Czuta in this early literacy and kindergarten readiness program that includes stories and activities relating to a different letter of the alphabet each week. Ages 4 & 5.

ABC Afternoons is a program specifically for 4 or 5 year old pre-kindergartners. Our program will present stories, rhymes and activities relating to a different letter of the alphabet each week.  Sandi Czuta, our children's programmer will help your child become familiar with letters and develop an early literacy foundation needed to love books and enjoy reading.  Registration is required and the class size is limited.  

Tiny Tots Lapsit Story Time - 10:30 - 10:50 am


December 10

This is a program for children age birth to 3 and their parent or caregiver 

that includes stories, music, movement and open playtime.
